PHP Team Lead

We are looking for an engineering lead for our PHP development team. This team is responsible for the development and maintenance of our ecommerce WordPress websites for our different brands. We are looking for a technically skilled engineer with good management and communication skills. Over the next years, we plan to work with outside agencies to develop new brand sites. You would be responsible for managing the internal team and managing those projects from the technical side. Setting up access, deployment pipelines and coordinating integrations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of developers as they build and maintain WordPress ecom sites.
• Manage and support projects from outside agencies building new sites.
• Facilitate and organize communication between the different internal teams (other development and marketing teams).
• Run Agile meetings for the internal team.
• Be a technical resource for the internal team.
• Together with our architecture team develop smart and creative solutions for any problems coming up.
• Identifying areas for improvement for Oiga processes and bringing thoughful solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in a web developer role.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing a team of web developers.
• Knowledge with PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, Javascript.
• Experience with internal and external APIs.
• An understanding of security best practices.
• Clear understanding of SEO as it impacts web development.
• Experience with Woocommerce, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics is a plus.
